3.The Odyssey School, Denver, CO
The Odyssey School is a dynamic Expeditionary Learning K-8 community dedicated to fostering each child's unique potential and spirit of adventure through exemplary standards of character, intellectual achievement, and social responsibility. The Odyssey School is chartered by Denver Public Schools. As a public school we are tuition free, except for our full-day Kindergarten program. The Odyssey School currently serves 225 students Kindergarten through 8th grade, our full charter. 33% of the student population qualifies for the Federal free or reduced lunch program. Fifty percent of the students are students of color with most being African American.

4. Olander School for Project Based Learning, Fort Collins, CO
In the fall of 2009, Olander Elementary became Olander School for Project Based Learning. Olander is in its sixth year of integrating Project Based Learning into our school curriculum. At Olander, we strive every day to teach children to communicate effectively, solve problems, understand and cooperate with others, to appreciate and care for the world we live in, and to be lifelong learners. Our professional staff is committed to help each individual student achieve his or her greatest educational potential.

December, 2012: I just became aware of The Curtis School, a private K-6 school in Santa Monica, CA. I hope to visit there but am already tremendously impressed, from afar, with the school's 21st Century Learning philosophy.
