 2013-2014:
NexTech is the name of
the NVUSD project involving 10 schools (NTHS, ACHS, ACMS, River,
RMS, SMS, CO, DW, NJ and YV) spanning grades K-12, implementing
the New Tech Model, which includes PBL, Tech-Infused Instruction,
and a Culture of Responsibility and Trust. The project's scope,
3 years, includes building a template for PBL implementation, which

District Transformation Learning Walks last all day long and include
visits to multiple schools within Napa Valley Unified School District
(NexTech
Schools and New Tech High)
and focus on the K-12 alignment of technology infused, project based
learning and the 4 C's (communication, collaboration, critical thinking,

The Napa Valley Education Exchange is committed to bringing together,
in our annual conferences, educators and students and experts and
visionaries to open our horizons and give us the inspiration, the
shared vision and practical steps to move us on the way. From technology
to Common Core, this two and a half day, results-oriented conference
will be a dynamic exchange of ideas with educators, students, solution
providers and thought leaders. Participants will work in teams, project-based
learning style, to develop unique approaches for their school or district.
We will allot plenty of time for teams to develop action steps and

Visit New Tech High, one of
the country's most innovative schools and the flagship school of the
New Tech Network. Participants will tour the campus, visit classrooms,
and interact informally with students and staff. Study Tour Dates
2014-2015: October 15, 2014; November 5, 2014; January 21, 2015; February
11, 2015; March 11, 2015; April 8, 2015.
