Texas Instruments, Huawei, and other companies,[5] endowed the new school, which launched in 2013. During 2010-2011, the Visioning Committee of 55 education stakeholders (parents, business leaders, community leaders, educators, etc.) met monthly to develop the vision for the new Academy.
